Clock Kingdom ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of all users, particularly children. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our platform at clockkingdom.app.
For Students (under 13): We collect only a display name and a 4-digit PIN. No real name, email address, date of birth, or any other personally identifiable information is required or collected from children.
For Teachers and Parents (adults): We collect your name and PIN for account authentication. If you contact us by email, we may retain that email address solely to respond.
Usage Data: We collect learning progress data (modules completed, XP earned, practice dates) to power the teacher dashboard and student progress views. This data is associated with an anonymous user ID, not personal information.
Clock Kingdom is designed to comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not:
Teachers who set up class accounts take responsibility for ensuring students use the platform appropriately per their school's policies.
Clock Kingdom displays Google AdSense advertisements on public-facing pages (the marketing website, parent view, and about pages) that are intended for adult users. These pages may use cookies and interest-based advertising as governed by Google's advertising policies.
No advertisements are displayed in the student game area (the /app path).
We use localStorage (not traditional cookies) to store your JWT authentication token. Third-party advertising (Google AdSense) may set cookies on adult-facing public pages in accordance with Google's privacy policy.
All PINs are hashed using bcrypt before storage. JWT tokens expire after 30 days. All data is stored in secure, access-controlled cloud infrastructure (Vercel KV).
We do not sell or share personal data with third parties except as required by law or as necessary to operate the service (cloud infrastructure providers).
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing hello@clockkingdom.app. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
